The first beta version of the new Firefox Browser is out now. But it is not recommened for daily use on your PC, it is just for testing and developing.
On the first look Firefox 3 appears to be the same like version 2. But there are a lot of new security features like the Blacklist. Within the Blacklist there are keywords of known unsecure websites, that attack your computer with malware.
The new bookmarks management is faster and clearer. Now you can not only put your bookmarks in a folder, you can also tag them and search them by keywords.
The download window is now more like a real download manager. You can pause and restart any download. You can also search through the download list and view the file details. The new download manager of Firefox 3 corresponds with your anti-virus software, too, and informs your virus-detection about the latest downloaded files.
The final version for Firefox 3 will be released in the first quarter of 2008.
I will give it a try then.
