Play with the Laws of Physics

The University of Colorado presents some nice physics simulations on its website. The Physics Education Technology project (PhET) created animated, interactive simulations of physical phenomena such as microwaves, projectile motion or even quantum tunneling. The simulations of the PhET were created for education. The idea was to build a virtual lab for students and teachers. Every simulation contains measurement instruments and changeable parameters to experience the cause-and-effect of Physics. But if you are not a student anymore, it's still a lot of fun to play around with the simulations. The simulations are written in Java and Flash. If you got the latest plug-ins for your browser, they should run using your standard webbrowser.
